It is indeed almost November (well, at least 4 weeks until then) but that’s not what I’m referring to with the title. That’s how my first song is called, Almost November.
I know it’s way too audacious to call it a song, but I did spend a few hours yesterday searching for the best course of the melody, and I also spent an hour recording it today, so I guess I will feel entitled for 3 seconds to call this a song.
Seriously, now, it was my first experience of this type and I found it very enjoyable. I’m finally at a point where I can understand the basics of music theory. I can also navigate the fret easier and I started to recognize the notes faster. Still not knowing the fret by heart, but I’m getting there. I still have so much to learn, but I’m making progress every day.
Putting this little knowledge to work with my limited technique at least produced something that I can hum and I’m grateful for that.
I’m also thinking to restart my monthly updates about learning to play the guitar, which are usually published on the 24th of the month. I am rehearsing 3 acoustic / fingerpicking songs at the moment, but they are way above my technique now (that’s why I chose them, to force me learn something new), so I don’t know if I’ll be able to have a song prepared in time. If not, I may share just a written update, without a video.
