Terms of Service for MosquiGo

The Service

MosquiGo is a utility app that generates ultrasonic and audible frequency patterns intended to deter mosquitoes. The App uses multiple frequency layers and adaptive patterns to reduce habituation.

Important Disclaimer

Scientific evidence on ultrasonic mosquito repellents is limited and mixed. MosquiGo is provided as a supplementary deterrent tool and makes no guarantees of effectiveness. The App:

• Should NOT be relied upon as your sole mosquito protection
• Does NOT replace proven methods (repellent sprays, nets, eliminating standing water)
• May have varying effectiveness depending on mosquito species and environment
• Is NOT a medical device and makes no health claims

Use at your own discretion. In areas with mosquito-borne diseases, always use proven protective measures.

Hearing Safety

• The App emits frequencies that may be partially audible, especially to younger users
• Do not use at maximum volume for extended periods near your ears
• Discontinue use if you experience discomfort, headaches, or ringing in ears
• Keep the device at a reasonable distance when in use
• Not recommended for use around pets without veterinary guidance

Free and Premium Features

Free Version

• Basic frequency modes
• Timer functionality
• Screen Shield mode
• Ads displayed (banner and interstitial)
• Watch ads for temporary premium access (limited uses per day)

Premium Subscription

• All frequency layers and presets
• Layer-by-layer volume control
• No advertisements
• Available as monthly ($0.99/month) or lifetime ($5.99) purchase

Subscriptions and Purchases

• All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store
• Monthly subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before the renewal date
• Manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings
• Lifetime purchase is a one-time payment with no renewal
• Refund requests must go through Apple
• We may change pricing for future purchases; existing subscriptions are not affected until renewal

Rewarded Ads

• Free users can watch video ads to unlock premium features temporarily (20 minutes)
• Limited to 3 reward sessions per 24-hour period
• Reward status is tracked locally and persists across app restarts
• Availability of rewarded ads depends on ad network inventory

Acceptable Use

Don't:

• Use the App in ways that could harm yourself, others, or animals
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
• Attempt to bypass subscription or ad requirements
• Redistribute the App or its code
• Use the App to disturb others (e.g., playing audible frequencies loudly in public)

Intellectual Property

The App's design, code, frequency patterns, and audio generation algorithms are owned by Dragos Roua. The App is licensed for personal, non-commercial use only.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We make no guarantees that the App will repel mosquitoes
• We are not liable for mosquito bites, mosquito-borne illnesses, or any health consequences
• We are not liable for hearing damage from misuse
• Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the past 12 months

Termination

We may suspend access for violations of these terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Subscription cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use means acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania.
